Metal finishing services for machined and fabricated parts, including surface preparation, painting, and specialty coating support.

Total Manufacturing supports finishing as part of the manufacturing process for parts that require surface preparation, coating, or a completed appearance before delivery.
As part of Total Manufacturing's industrial metal finishing services, dry blast surface preparation propels abrasive media at the part to clean scale, oxidation, and residue left from prior operations, creating a uniform texture that improves paint adhesion and corrosion resistance.
Polishing refines the surface further for a smoother, more consistent finish where a drawing calls for reduced roughness or improved cosmetic appearance.
Painting and specialty coating support are also available as part of these finishing capabilities, and requirements can be coordinated with machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly so the specified surface condition is considered alongside the rest of the part's manufacturing requirements.
As a finishing company serving the manufacturing industry, including aerospace metal finishing needs, Total Manufacturing's surface preparation and polishing improve durability and corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and surface friction on stainless steel and other metal parts exposed to corrosive or high-temperature environments. This reduces the risk of premature wear or failure while Total Manufacturing's ISO 9001:2015 certification supports consistent quality across every finishing project, whether the job is a single prototype or part of a high-volume production run.

↗FAQs
Have questions? Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often.
Yes. In addition to surface preparation and polishing, secondary finishing services can include heat treatment processes such as induction hardening, vacuum hardening, hardened draw, and carburizing, along with black oxide, wheel balancing, nickel or chrome metal plating, and powder coating. These services can be coordinated as part of the same finishing process, rather than requiring a separate plating company or heat treat vendor.
Include the applicable finish or coating specification, material, drawing requirements, and any masking requirements for the part. If a specialty coating through TDC Systems is needed, note that as well so it can be coordinated as part of the project.
Yes. Painting and specialty coatings are available as dedicated capabilities alongside metal finishing, so a project can move from surface preparation into painting or specialty coating without leaving Total Manufacturing.
Yes. Finishing can be incorporated with CNC machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly so the specified surface condition is addressed alongside the rest of the part's manufacturing requirements. This is coordinated within the same production process rather than through a separate outside step.
Total Manufacturing's metal finishing services include polishing and dry blast surface preparation for machined and fabricated parts, with painting and specialty coating processes available through Total Manufacturing's dedicated capabilities. Finishing requirements can be coordinated alongside machining, fabrication, and assembly on the same project.
