Yes. Computer-aided programming drives every tool path on our CNC mills, lathes, and EDM machines, each repeating to within thousandths of an inch, and in-house CMM inspection verifies the result before parts ship. Complex geometries, multi-axis features, and tight-tolerance callouts are handled routinely, not as exceptions. This combination of precision equipment and in-house inspection is what lets Total Manufacturing take on parts other shops decline.
As a CNC machine shop, Total Manufacturing has 99 machines on the floor, covering CNC milling, CNC turning, grinding, EDM, waterjet cutting, fabrication, and inspection equipment. That includes 18 CNC mills, 25 CNC turning centers, and 17 grinders, all housed in a single 90,000-square-foot facility in Mentor, Ohio. Keeping this much equipment in one facility means fewer handoffs and faster turnaround from raw material to finished part.
Total Manufacturing operates CNC milling machines, CNC turning centers, sinker and wire EDM, precision grinders, and waterjet cutting systems. Some of our turning centers combine turning and milling in a single setup, a process known as turn milling, for parts that would otherwise need multiple machines. This mix covers the most common types of CNC machines a manufacturing project is likely to require.
Yes. Our largest vertical mill has a 96 inch by 200 inch work envelope, and our largest turning center handles parts up to 45.5 inches in diameter. These larger machines support big weldments, machine bases, and oversized components that many job shops have to turn away. Standard mills and lathes round out the floor for small to mid-size precision work.
