Overview

Precision MIG and TIG welding for structural steel and specialty alloys

Total Manufacturing offers a variety of high-quality MIG welding services and TIG welding services, also known as metal inert gas and tungsten inert gas welding, performed by certified welders across carbon steel, structural steel plate, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys. Operating from a 90,000+ square foot facility with heavy equipment for crane and material handling, the welding department fabricates heavy machine bases, structural frames, custom weldments, plates, brackets, and fixturing as part of Total Manufacturing's broader metal fabrication capabilities. This range of processes and capacity supports projects from small-scale prototypes to large structural components, with consistent weld quality maintained across each job.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Have questions? Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often.

What materials can Total Manufacturing weld?

Total Manufacturing welds a wide range of materials, including carbon steel, structural steel plate, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys. This range allows dissimilar metals to be welded within the same welded assembly when a project's design calls for it.

What should I include in an RFQ for a welded component?

You can request a quote for welding services by sharing the fabrication drawing, material specification, weld requirements, quantity, and dimensional requirements for the finished weldment. If the part also requires machining, painting, or assembly, note those requirements as well so the full process can be quoted together.

What types of projects are a good fit for your welding capabilities?

MIG and TIG welding services are a good fit for heavy weldments, structural frames, machine bases, brackets, and fixturing that require precision joints in steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. Total Manufacturing's welding is performed by certified welders who select the process best suited to each material and joint design.

What welding processes does Total Manufacturing offer?

Total Manufacturing operates as both a MIG welder service and a TIG welding provider, performing MIG welding (metal inert gas) and TIG welding (tungsten inert gas), the two precision welding processes best suited to structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys. A MIG welder is typically used for thicker structural sections and higher deposition rates, while a TIG welder is typically chosen for thinner materials, tighter joints, or applications requiring a cleaner weld.

Can Total Manufacturing weld large or heavy steel structures?

Yes. Heavy equipment for crane and material handling allows large, heavy steel assemblies to be positioned and welded, supporting heavy machine bases, structural frames, and other large weldments made from structural steel plate or thick sections.
